So, what are some solutions you can implement to streamline remote work and stay compliant?

Business communications expert DeLaine Clifford advises transitioning to the cloud to accommodate workplace flexibility. Cloud platforms also have the ability to store data so you can access important information and contact emergency personnel during a crisis.

Rolando Rosas 0:35

Yes, it’s a wonderful day out here in the nation’s capitol. And we’ve got a good one for you today. Today, we we bring back a just an all around great person, fabulous consultant in the telecom business. We’re going to introduce her in a bit. And I think you’ll thoroughly enjoyed it. As as we did during our last stream, we had a lot of folks put in a lot of positive comments through the last one. So we brought her back again. So she could give you more of what businesses would do when making decisions for either cloud cloud migrations as well as other cloud platforms that you’d be looking at. So, Dave, let’s jump into our trivia question for today. Go ahead and take it away.

Dave Kelly 1:23

Yeah, let’s see that. So which one of these brands was associated with laying telegraph wire from Europe, to agents? So these are four very popular brands AT&T Comcast Sprint, in Java. So one of these, one of these brands was associated with communications back in the late 1800s. So we will talk about that a little bit later.

Rolando Rosas 1:46

Right. Wonderful. Well, I can’t wait to see who who that was that they all look like? Well, I don’t know about one of them. But they could have been doing that. But I don’t know. We’ll wait. We’ll wait till the answer is revealed. All right. Well, today we have a special guest with us. She was on our last stream, helping us review various headsets in a indoor Battle Royale of six different headsets. And without further ado, let me tell you a little bit about her. Besides being an all around great person, cool person, she has over 15 years of telecom experience. She is by far one of the best folks you’ll ever want in your corner when it comes to making a decision. So if you’re a business, and you’re about to migrate to the cloud, and you want somebody to hold your hand through the process, and give you honest opinions that actually fit your business, and that are actually appropriate for you DeLaine Clifford is the person you want to do that with. So without further ado, DeLaine Clifford. Welcome to What The Teck? Hi DeLaine and welcome back.

DeLaine Clifford 2:54

Thank you. Thank you. I’m excited to be here.

Rolando Rosas 2:58

All right to DeLaine. Well, I, we’re glad to have you here. And we just wanted to just want to let it to be very free, very freeform here with you. And just ask you some questions about what businesses should be doing. So let me just tee it up with the first one. So as you know, nobody’s been immune to this in any way shape, or form the current conditions, we’ve been living through the last 10 months, where a lot of folks are working from home. And that’s really made a big impact on how businesses have had to go about looking at continuous work, continuity and resiliency. And so from a work at home perspective, we’re going to dive into work at home, we’re going to talk about what business should be doing. But first, I want to know delay. Since COVID, what are the trends that businesses should be aware of that are most important when dealing with this current work from home situation?

DeLaine Clifford 3:56

I mean, there’s so many things, I think number one will say headsets, right? Because everyone needs the headset now that they’re working from home. But overall, I think that a lot of companies thought we’ll never have our employees work from home, too. Oh my gosh, we gotta get our employees to work from home overnight. Right? So not only getting the technology to support your business’s needs as your employees are dispersed, but also having that community still right a lot of people aren’t used to working from home and keeping your business connected and keeping your morale high is very important
