Data and other forms of automation can be a substantial time saver for businesses. Yet, many companies are hesitant to adopt this technology based on the stigma that it replaces jobs. So, how can you leverage automation to enhance innovation, streamline operations, and maximize ROI?

Before initiating any automation practices, Will Christensen stresses embracing an automation culture to educate your team on the process and ensure they’re on board with the idea. He has created a strategic method to identify which processes to automate. The 15-1-1-5 approach allows you to determine the time spent on mundane tasks. To begin automating these processes, it’s essential to recognize your data’s current and future locations, what needs to happen to transfer the data, and how each task originated. The result is greater revenue and time spent on productive operations.

Rolando Rosas 0:00

Hi. And welcome to another episode of What The Teck? I’m your host, Rolando Rosas and today we’re tackling an issue that is near and dear to my heart. And that is how to get employees to stop doing those mundane tasks and automating so that things are more efficient, and that it returns a greater ROI to your business. And joining me today on this podcast, as always, riding shotgun with me is my co host, David Kelly, Dave, what’s up Dave?

Dave Kelly 0:47

Rolando, we are officially at the halfway point where a couple of days beyond the halfway point of 2021. And today, we’re going to be talking about really multiplicity, right? How can we take these talented people keep them doing the things that they can do with the skills that they have, while automating or making things a little bit easier to handle on the on the back end? So I want to take a quick dive, and we’re going to look at the question of the week.

Rolando Rosas 1:12

All right, go for it.

Dave Kelly 1:15

All right. So Charlie, from Seattle is asking, Hey, I use a Bluetooth headset and a bluetooth dongle on my laptop. So that’s good. He’s using the dongles instead of the Bluetooth that’s built in to his laptop, so it’s good. But yeah, he’s expecting better wireless range. What can he do? Rolando? You know, this is a topic that we talked about a lot.

Rolando Rosas 1:38

Right. That’s right. And go ahead.

Dave Kelly 1:42

So we’ll get the answer to this question. When we’re wrapping it up at the end of our at the end of our interview.

Rolando Rosas 1:48

We know what the users are asking about the technology that we sell. Save yourself some time come ask us these questions. And we know that you’ll be pleased with what we can provide you.

Rolando Rosas 3:15

Awesome. Thank you, Dave. And you know, on today’s episode, we have a bonafide expert in the field of automation. And you know, a lot of folks when they hear about him, I know for me that when I think of automation, I hear robots in my head, of course, pick packing and maybe moving things are on a factory line, you know, doing soldering and doing all these different things. But it’s way more than just the physical aspects of robots moving things or soldering or creating widgets. It’s also about things in the background, like software and, and different pieces of of platforms that come together that can talk to each other, or things that are just mundane tasks that a human probably can do. But you can have a machine do for you and on your behalf so that you can speed up the work that you’re doing be more effective and getting a leg up on the competition. I think that’s what will is going to help us break down today.

Dave Kelly 4:17

No, that’s great. I’ll tell you it’s kind of a fascinating topic. When you think about the back end of really any business. They’re not physical, you know, they’re not necessarily physical actions that are taking people’s time away from away from more important tasks. So I’m looking forward to this conversation with Will, and DataAutomation and automation in general.
